UNPACK
Your doors are individually wrapped in the wooden crate. Remove each door carefully, they are extremely heavy unlike American and Italian doors.

INSPECT
Because Insensation pre-installs the frameless doors in our factory, (every other company will send you a box of parts and a prayer), there is little chance that something can be missing. Your door levers and locks will arrive separately by FedEx usually 1 week after the door delivery. Pocket doors and Duo doors are not pre-assembled, as they are huge things. Please refer to the installation guides below and be sure to use DuraBond (not normal plaster) or your walls will crack. You have 10 days to report anything missing – in writing. We have a strict quality check in our factory and have everything documented.

REPORT
It is extremely rare that anything will get damaged during transit. Insensation photographs and packages each door individually before they leave our factory. If you experience any damages, it is imperative to follow procedures to determine what happened:
1. Photograph the receiving crate if there is any damage. Indicate the damage on the truck driver’s delivery papers.
2. Photograph any damage to any product. If a door surface is damaged, the protective packaging will also damaged. Send us pictures of the packaging and the door, showing the precise location of the damage.
3. If damages are done on site while unpacking, you can have your door easily repaired and re-sprayed by a local artisan. Color codes are found on your Production Order.
4. Report all damages within 10 days of delivery by email to orders@insensation.com

DOOR NUMBERS
The doors are numbered sequentially in the same order as on the Production Form you approved.

DOOR FINISHES
Insensation doors are manufactured in a variety of finishes as specified for your project:
PRIMED: the primer we use is a high-end, 2 component primer for lacquered doors. There are two things to be done to prepare for final painting, especially be careful with water-based paint:
1 Sanding of the door. Although we ship the doors sanded, because there is a big time gap between our sanding and the actual painting, the doors should be sanded again.
2 Use a universal primer (each company has their own) which will isolate our surfacer primer from your paint.

REAL WOOD VENEER: the oak veneers we use are from Italy and have a matt lacquer finish on them. There is no further finishing required

LAMINATE: Insensation only uses laminate, which is cheap plastic, on our economy framed doors for offices. Laminates are not normally used in high-end residential homes, as they cannot be repaired and are aesthetically inferior compared to real wood veneers.
