SWISS CDF | COMPACT STRENGTH

Insensation Frameless Doors lead the market due to our superior thickness, universal-engineered door frame, wide spectrum of hardware and our unique INtact Installation which saves significant time and money on building sites.   10 years ago we introduced the American market to our innovative high-performance door cores.  Now we further innovate the door outer layers with a state-of-the-art material to serve the exclusive needs of our clients.

Our standard door structure is comprised of 2 outer layers of 7 mm MDF and a high-tech core.   This construction has proven to be superior for longevity, ease of installation and provide unique integration capabilities with emerging components. Other manufacturers typically have 2 or 3 mm outer layers, making for a very weak door construction.  In addition to our already excellent engineering, we are pleased to announce the integration of Swiss CDF (Compact Density Fibreboard) in all our unique frameless doors.

CDF refers to the compactly compressed fibreboard (> 1,000 kg/m3) that gives the product such enormous stability. Thanks to its multi-ply construction, SWISSCDF is predestined for complex and filigree milled structures. SWISSCDF complies with the fire classification according to EN 13501-1 and therefore is also suitable for use in “flame-retardant” areas.

Swiss CDF is the future of modern door construction and is now available as an option on all Insensation doors.

EXPERTS IN WOOD FINISHES

With a 30 year history of engineering high-end wood frameless doors, Insensation manufactures custom-made wall panels for those projects designed with a lot of wooden texture. Our wood veneers are sourced from Italy and are very competitively priced.

The panels are available in two thicknesses, 1/4″ and 3/4″, enabling a wide variety of design applications, with matching frameless doors and entrance doors of all types.

A large range of real oak veneers is available. Insensation does not use laminates, which are plastic, and generally used in low-quality projects and furniture.

 

Insensation also has American Walnut veneers and works with the veneers from ALPI Brookside for large projects, including the veneers from Piero Lissoni.

CE CERTIFIED EUROPEAN QUALITY

Many companies in the USA market their products as ‘European’ or even ‘Italian’ design. This is a pure marketing gimmick and has nothing to do with the design, quality or engineering of a product.

Our advanced FS2 frameless doors are pre-assembled and pre-hung and have 2” thick slabs, Intact Intelligent Installation™, a huge integration of hardware and surface finishes, Slam-Side Protection™ and are being chosen by architects building top quality homes across the USA. The new improved doors and frames are a quantum improvement over all other frames on the US market. We are pleased to release FS2, which costs less than half of any comparable high-end frameless door.

 

New innovative flush handles for both frameless pocket and frameless swing doors.

 

ADVANTAGES

1. Re-designed frames and doors which further eliminate structural problems seen in steel-frame and thin frame products.

2. More tolerance for skim coating and taping, enabling the strongest frameless doors on the market.

3. Integration of new hardware options: advanced flush locks and handles for swing doors and pocket doors.

 

4. Includes One-Person™ installation brackets. One person can easily install these doors, without a video, without a complex instruction guide. Contractors in every state install our doors. For contractors who want to outsource this work, we offer installation services in Florida and New York.

5. Includes pre-assembled door and frame – all components are pre-milled and pre-installed before delivery. Other frameless doors are trying to copy the pre-assembly we have been doing for 5 years, but their doors are thin (poor acoustic) and their pre-assembly usually means all in one box, but not completely pre-milled and pre-assembled like Insensation doors.

 

The new 5/8” version of our Frameless Swing doors also enables the integration of wood panels up to 18 mm.

Where most American entrance doors are only 2″ thick (that is the thickness of Insenation INTERIOR doors), our secure entrance doors with optional biometric locking are 3 to 4″ thick and provide extensive security. As a Swiss company, Insensation specializes in the needs of high net worth individuals.

A recent new client in San Francisco purchased all their interior doors from Insensation, but their architect selected an American entrance door for their house.
