ETHICAL SUPPLY CHAIN

June 15, 2026

There is a wealth of public tools available to help you discern where your suppliers source their products.  Insensation sources 100% of its materials from Europe.

Find out where other door companies source their materials here: www.importyeti.com

An ethical supply chain ensures fair labor, human rights, and environmental sustainability across all stages of production, moving beyond cost to prioritize people and the planet through transparency, responsible sourcing, fair wages, safe conditions, and eco-friendly practices. Insensation only works with ethical suppliers.

Key Components of INSENSATION Ethical Supply Chain

1. Our wood and metal components are sourced from Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The manufacturing operates under recognized standards, including CE (Conformity European) standards and ISO 9001:2015 certification. These certifications relate to quality management systems and product performance such as sound insulation, anti-burglary and thermal insulation.

2. Our aluminum supplier consistently earns top ratings and awards for its commitment to environmental, social, and corporate governance practices. The company actively supports the circular economy model, using recycled aluminum for a significant portion of its raw material needs. and has a “Net Zero” strategy, focusing on reducing its carbon footprint.

3. Our door cores have significant environmental ratings.
– US EPA TSCA Title VI – 40 CRF Part 770: Emission Standards for Composite Wood Products from 93120 – 93120.12, title 17, California Code of Regulations by the California Air Resources Board (CARB)
– Forest Stewardship Council, FSC-STD40-004 V3-0; FSC-STD-50-001 V2-0

4. Our door levers are manufactured according to ISO certifications (9001, 14001), and use environmentally friendly materials. Our hinges are UL listed.

5. Insensation and all of our suppliers are family-owned businesses. We answer to our clients directly. All of our suppliers are more than 30 years in business and currently being managed by the 2nd generation of family members.

With CE-conformant, certified components and materials, no other company comes near our quality.

PREMIUM OAK DOORS

June 4, 2026

Insensation is pleased to announce phenomenal pricing on all our oak frameless doors. While other companies charge hundreds of dollars for oak finishes, Insensation’s 20 real oak finishes are available for $295 more per door over our lacquered doors. In white or wood finishes, Insensation’s pre-assembled doors save time and money in installation costs. Other companies charge $650 plus for real wood veneers and their selection is not half as large as ours.

When manufacturing wood veneer doors, there are several aspects which differentiate Insensation doors from others on the market.

1. Insensation only uses real wood veneers sourced from Italy. Insensation does not manufacture laminate doors. Laminate is plastic, and belongs on cheap furniture, not high-end doors. There is a huge quality difference between real wood and plastic.

2. Most companies manufacturing wood doors create their edges out of edge bands. Edge bands are laminated onto the edge of the door using heat or adhesive tape to apply. Edge banding is an inexpensive way to create door edges. They often de-laminate, or peel off after some time. Some low-quality companies only offer a 1 year warranty because of this.

3. Insensation wood doors have solid wood oak or walnut edges, made of the same wood as the door surface. These are durable and of significantly higher quality than edge bands. Solid wood adds a premium natural wood finish to doors, improving their look and making it an excellent choice for luxurious interiors. All Insensation doors are 2″ thick – no one else offers this.

4. Insensation does not use pine wood like the cheap frameless doors sold at Do-It-Yourself centers and online retailers. Insensation uses hardwood for framing – high quality doors require high-quality wood.

30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

March 21, 2026

Insensation is pleased to announce the start of our 30th year in business.

Insensation, the frameless and armored door company known for its minimalist XXL doors, was founded by Richard Gelles, who envisioned the brand and leads its growth. In 30 years, we expanded from our original location in Basel, Switzerland to serve clients in 14 countries in Europe and across the USA with 7 unique showrooms for contractors and architects.

For 30 years, we have developed minimalist products and introduced world-class architects to a wide range of frameless technologies which have subtly altered the course of interior design in everything from tiny woodland homes to massive luxury towers.

For 30 years, we have enjoyed every minute working with exceptional architects, contractors, designers and our own group of engineers and product gurus who have pushed the boundaries of wood, metal and mechanics in door design.

Throughout 2026, we will be releasing new products, new locations and announcing major projects that we have been preparing.

A huge thank you to our families, friends, clients, collaborators, architects, contractors, suppliers, engineers, logistic providers and all who have made our original slogan CREATE A SENSATION a reality in thousands of homes.
